Designated a City of Art and History, it charms visitors with its perfectly preserved ramparts, cobbled streets lined with colorful half-timbered houses, and lively port, the gateway to the Gulf of Morbihan. With its historical heritage, walks along the rampart gardens, and trips to the islands, Vannes combines authentic charm with the gentle Breton way of life.
Day 2 : A day on the island of Arz, jewel of the Gulf of Morbihan
Set sail for Île d’Arz, nicknamed “the island of captains,” and enjoy a nature getaway just 30 minutes from Vannes. Discover its coastal paths (17 km), beaches, and iconic tide mill, a symbol of its historical heritage. Stroll through its traditional villages, sample local products from organic farms, and enjoy a relaxing break by the water in an unspoiled and authentic setting. Ideal for a day of hiking, swimming, and exploring the Gulf!
Day 3 : A day spent between oyster farming and megaliths in southern Brittany
Immerse yourself in the heart of Breton heritage with a day full of discoveries. Embark on a guided tour of the oyster beds aboard an electric boat, in an eco-friendly and peaceful setting. Discover the secrets of oyster farming, from harvesting to refining, and finish with a tasting of fresh oysters, with your feet in the water and a view of the Gulf of Morbihan. Then head to Carnac to explore the famous megalithic alignments, among the most impressive in the world. Visit the iconic sites of Ménec, Kermario, and Kerlescan, and unravel the mysteries of these 7,000-year-old stone giants. End the day by strolling through the village of Carnac or sampling local specialties.
Day 4 : Heading for the Pink Granite Coast!
Stretching 30 km between Perros-Guirec and Trébeurden, the Pink Granite Coast is an exceptional natural site, ranked among the most beautiful in France. Its pink rocks, sculpted by the wind and sea over thousands of years, form dreamlike landscapes, between granite chaos, fine sandy beaches, and turquoise waters. The Sentier des Douaniers (GR®34) offers spectacular walks, particularly around the Ploumanac’h lighthouse and iconic beaches such as Trestraou and Saint-Guirec.
Day 5 : The most beautiful landscapes of the Pink Granite Coast
Explore the Pink Granite Coast, a treasure trove of nature and history. Discover the Renote Peninsula, where pink rocks and sandy beaches are revealed by the tides along an enchanting coastal path. In Pleumeur-Bodou, immerse yourself in a village where prehistory and modernity meet, the cradle of Breton telecommunications. The wild and mysterious Île-Grande invites you to cross its bridge and explore its mining past and unspoiled landscapes. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the history and serenity of the Beauport Abbey, a medieval jewel nestled facing the sea. A castle by the sea, wild beaches, pink sandstone cliffs, dunes… complete this exceptional landscape! Set off on the famous GR34 trail that runs along the Brittany coast and the famous Cap Fréhel.
