Program of your Family Holidays in Broceliande

Day 1: Arrival in Rennes

Arrival in Rennes and installation at your hotel for 2 nights. Rest of the day free. Take the opportunity to walk the streets of the historic city center and discover the pretty century-old half-timbered houses, the flamboyant cathedral and the surprising Town Hall Square!

Day 2: Street-art tour in Rennes

Art is not necessarly in museums and galleries, it is also displayed in the streets. With internationally renowned local artists like WAR !, Mioshe and Dino Voodoo, the city has become a pampered street art scene! Accompanied by a local street artist, enjoy a private tour and discover another side of Rennes, more authentic, alternative and outside the usual circuits.

Day 3: The Gardens of Broceliande

Take the road towards Paimpont and the mystical forest of Brocéliande. On the program, a visit to the gardens of Brocéliande. At the gates of the forest, enter this place of sensory experiences! Set on 24 hectares of greenery, find a wide collections of plants, sensory trails and fun activities. Time to share laughs and discoveries for a great time with your family!

Day 4: Storytelling walk in Brocéliande

In the morning, go on an original and easy hike and listen to the legends of Brocéliande accompanied by your storyteller guide who will open the doors of the imagination to you! Then in the afternoon, head to the Paimpont Abbey and its fairy-tale show: La Porte des Secrets!

Day 5: La Gacilly

For this day we advise you to visit the village of La Gacilly and its photo festival. Every year, La Gacilly is transformed into a “village in pictures”, through its thirty open-air galleries. Thus the photographs dress the streets, the gardens, offering an immersive and ambulatory experience in this charming village of craftsmen. The public space then becomes a scenic space, shared and accessible to all free of charge.

Day 6: Original visit to a scrap dealer

In a small village in the middle of nowhere, there is a world where a funny character comes to life, rustles, takes on color, plays with recycled objects and nature. For many years this DIY artist has been sensitive to the world around him, reinventing it with his creativity. Animated sculptures, useless machines, offbeat architectures, gardens, films, games, eco-homes, everything is humor, magic and emotion. The buildings and magical gardens of this tangle of gears trace an imaginary path of beautiful freedom.

Day 7: Departure

It’s the last day of your family holidays in Brittany, but surely the start of new imaginary adventures for your children!
